OUR GLORIOUS QUEEN 500XLPCS

Once again our nation celebrates, this time for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.

This popular jigsaw - full of royal smiles - has been reissued to rejoice at her extraordinary seventy year reign.   As the longest serving British head of state and the world's oldest reigning monarch, our amazing Queen is possibly the most photographs person in history. In this jigsaw we see her many expressions - regal, joyful, intrigued, thoughtful, happy... and glorious. 

The pieces of this 500XL piece puzzle are double the size of those in a 1000 piece puzzle, which means it is perfect for beginners or those with sight or handling difficulties. Puzzle size 68x49cm. Box size 41x29x5cm.

This 500XL piece puzzle has been created by the talented Robert Opie and was originally released in 2016 as a 1000 piece puzzle, to celebrate Her Royal Highnesses 90th birthday. We loved the image and thought it captured the Queen’s elegance and personality perfectly, so we decided to give our customers another opportunity to appreciate the image, especially as there were only a limited number of copies printed for it’s initial release. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

As with all Gibsons jigsaws, we use 100% recycled puzzle board, FSC paper and work with the best artists from all around the world. The beautifully illustrated pieces are designed to fit perfectly together; in fact, we use the thickest puzzle board on the market. Everyone loves a Gibsons jigsaw, even Her Majesty the Queen has been spotted with one.

We’ve made some positive changes to our processes, so you can be sure you’re getting the same great puzzles and know they are kinder to the environment. Not only does the box have a fresh new look, but we’ve used biodegradable clear labels to secure the lid instead of shrink wrap, reducing our plastic waste. We use vegetable-based inks too. The gloss coating on the box gives extra protection and the puzzle pieces are stored in a plastic bag that can be recycled by most councils.

Because the box is slightly smaller than our previous designs, we need less room to transport our products which reduces our carbon footprint and means you can store your puzzles more easily. We have also popped an artwork poster inside for you to reference whilst you piece together your lovely jigsaw puzzle.

We’ve partnered with TR[1]BE to save the rainforest. With each order placed on our website, we will protect 5 trees and 100 sq.m of rainforest from destruction.
